Terms and Conditions
1.Booking
The owners of Hill Top Cottage will normally accept bookings by e-mail. If the booking is made more than six weeks prior to commencement of the holiday, the customer will be asked to pay a deposit of GBP 75 to confirm the booking, and to settle the remaining amount six weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If the booking is make less than six weeks before the commencement of the holiday, then full payment is due immediately upon booking.
Upon making a booking, the customer will provide his/her full name and address, as well as a contact telephone number and information on the number of people in the party, and will indicate whether or not there will be any pets in the party.
2.Cancellations
The customer is asked to notify the owners of any cancellation as early as possible. If the owners succeed in obtaining a replacement booking for the one cancelled, then all monies paid to the owners by the customer in connection with the cancelled booking will be refunded. If no replacement booking is made, then no refund will be possible.
The owners reserve the right to cancel a booking for reasons beyond their control, such as unforeseen damage to the cottage, failure of the heating system, etc. Under these circumstances all monies paid by the customer in connection with the booking will be refunded.
3.Access to the cottage
Upon receipt of full payment, the owners will send the customer information on how to access the key to the cottage. The cottage will be available for the customer from 4pm on the first day of the booked period. The customer is kindly asked to vacate the cottage by 10am on the day of departure.
4.Condition of the property
The owners will ensure that the cottage is properly cleaned prior to the customer’s arrival.
The customer undertakes to leave the property and its contents in the same condition as at the commencement of the holiday and to leave the cottage in the same state of cleanliness as it was found. The owners of the property should be compensated for any damage and breakages which may occur. The owners reserve the right to invoice the customer for any extra cleaning or repair work the customer causes.
